Niamh is a performance artist working with movement, spoken word and sound. Her work deals with these three disciplines, and is curious about how they relate to and influence one another. She is interested in what their relationship can reveal and discover about human creativity, ways of being, and both the collective and the individual experience of meaning and connection.

Her current research project, as of now titled ‘sampling’, is an investigation into how the practice of sampling and remixing from music production can be applied to movement and writing practices, and how this can then develop into a semi-structured, semi-improvised performance. Initially beginning as a solo dance performance in her third year at Northern School, versions of the project which now involve spoken word and original sound have since been performed in London; at the Chelsea Theatre as part of Resonance Dance, and Jacksons Lane Theatre for Brainfools Poetry Slam Scratchtacular.
